St. Louis Architecture

Old Courthouse

Construction of the original Federal Style courthouse began in 1826. The courthouse was transformed into a Greek revival style in 1839, with annexes and a cast-iron dome added decades later.

This picture shows the fountain in front of the Old Courthouse dyed pink during breast cancer awareness, while the American Flag flies half staff in memory of former U.S. President Ronald Reagan who passed away in 2004.
